CLUBS COMPLETE BUSY SUMMER
The Clubs Complete Holiday Clubs at Ravenstone and Moira and Broomleys have been very busy over the summer period. Childrens Centres Busy over the Summer Holidays
Our childrens centres are all open over the school summer holidays, the sessions continue as normal, pictured below are Mums and Babies enjoying their singing session at the Little Gigglers Group at Woodcote on Monday Mornings. All activities FREE come along all welcome, socialise with others.

Fire Fit visit Ivanhoe Nursery Under 5s
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service are offering a Fire Safety Talk and Games suitable for Pre-school and Key Stages one and two. This session actively encourages children to be aware of the danger of Fire through exercise. Contact Shaun Hession at shaun.hession@lfrs.org.

Ashby Young Mums Group
Ashby Young Mums group meets at 12 noon until 1.30pm every Tuesday at the Sure Start Childrens Centre in the grounds of Woodcote Primary School. The group meets in an informal setting and offers advice and support for young parents during pregnancy and early childhood. Swadlincote Chess Coaching Club

Little Pelicans Stay and Play for 0-5 years
Woodcote Primary School has a thriving stay and play session every Wednesday afternoon in the school. They have recently began some family learning sessions where children can learn reading with their Mums. Pictured below are families enjoying these sessions and the recent Xmas party.
FREE Weekly activities for 0-5 year olds
We have two Surestart Childrens Centres in our area, on in the grounds of Woodcote Primary in Ashby and the other in the grounds of Moira Infants School. Both these centres offer a wide range of free activities for you and your children, i.e. Little Gigglers, Active Tots, Child Health Clinic, Young Parents Group, Toy Library, Baby Massage, Tiny Tums, Stay and Play, Messy Play, Chatterbox, Pip Squeaks. Early Years - START TO PLAY Training
Kelly Baker from NW Leics District Council has completed the START TO PLAY staff training for all early years settings in the Ashby Family of Schools area. On completion of training each nursery or pre-school receives a sports bag full of play equipment and is accredited with a certificate. In the next phase of training all Childminders and School Foundation Stage Classes will have the opportunity to received the training.
