Chosen site for Phase II Childrens Centre. Phoenix Nursery provides after school care at Moira Village Hall till 6pm. Various individual local registered Childminders operate in the surrounding area.
Lunch: Recorder Club, Guitar Club, Cross Country Club. After School: French Club, Art Club. Outside Providers: Derby County Football, Tag Rugby, Dance Class. One day residential visits to 'Sherwood Forest'.
Active Parents Association who organize various events. Parental support for Cross Country on Sat mornings. Introduction parents classes for pre-school..
School works closely with support services, Educational Psychologists, School Nurses, etc. Has opportunity to use CAF route, which can if necessary feed into Multi Agency Forum to help children with other specialist needs.
Phase II Childrens Centre opening March 2008 will increase community access. Close links with Blackfordby Primary School for joint educational visits and talks.
