Various outside providers drop off and collect children. Both Nurseries and Independent Childminders.
2 Football teams, Netball, Basketball, High Fives Club, War Hammer Club, School Choir, Recorder Groups, School Council. Links to Ashby Rugby Club, links to church, Youth for Christ, Ashby Foundation Charity, Gymnastic Club at Coalville, Swimming Club (Sports partnership), Performing Arts Club, Playcoaches, Playground Buddies, Dinner Mentors, Green Gang. Various residential trips are organized. Gifted and talented program through family of schools (Tip Tops).
Very strong PTA who organize events (discos, bingo, treasure trail, film night etc). Two 'walking buses' as part of the School Travel Plan. Parents workshop for Maths. Induction classes for pre-school - Friday afternoons 2 groups for coffee and a chat. Grandparents into school for lunch with children.
School makes use of CAF and is aware of multi-agency forum if required.
Mondays - Rangers/Guides, Wednesdays - Brownies.
