Parents have access to Fun and Families parenting course. Regular information sessions for parents are held at school. Very active Parents Group.

School has excellent links with specialist services. Has access to local Multi Agency Forum using CAF system for additional help for children. School has a referral system through Ashby Family of Schools agreement with Relate for additional Family Liaison support.

Relate have a family liaison counsellor funded by extended schools who is available to work with families from this school who have issues that may impact on children. As part of the Extended Services offer of parenting support, Ashby Family of Schools now employ a Parent Support Adviser (PSA)

Our Parent Support Adviser is Michelle White who will provide a link between parents and schools. Michelle can offer early intervention, preventative support, guidance and advice to families whose children may be experiencing difficulties or other issues at school. Michelle will work with school in partnership with parents, carers and other agencies to improve the outcomes for individual children. If you feel that your family may benefit from the services of the Parent Support Adviser or you simply want to find out more information please contact your school.

Warning Zone Road Show Visits Griffydam

Griffydam was the venue for the latest visit of the Warning Zone road show. Children from Viscount Beaumont and Newbold joined our Year 6 children for a very enjoyable session of safety and good life choices.

Ashby Day Nursery operates at Griffydam

Our school provides premises for a local childcare provider to operate a breakfast club and after school club, pictured below are some of the children taking part in the after school club.

After School Fitness Club

Our new fitness club has proved very popular with the children, pictured below are some of the children taking part in the session.

Garden Club Area

School decided to use Extended Services Money to develop an area for our Garden Club. The results are fantastic as seen below. For more brilliant pictures of our children working on the garden please visit the school website. Access is on the top left of this page.
