Parents use local child minders and private childcare providers. For more information go to the Home Page on this Website and click Childcare Box for information from the Family Information Service. School has two walking buses to and from school as part of the travel plan.

School has a very active PTA who raise funds and organise events. Parents have access to Fun and Families Parents Course. Regular information sessions for parents are held at school.

School has excellent links with specialist services for children who need extra support. There is access to the local Multi Agency Forum through the CAF referral for additional support. School has access to a referral system through the Ashby Family of Schools agreement with Relate for Family Liaison Support.

School is home to Rangers, Guides and Brownies.

Relate have a family liaison counsellor funded by extended schools who is available to work with families from this school who have issues that may impact on children. As part of the Extended Services offer of parenting support, Ashby Family of Schools now employ a Parent Support Adviser (PSA)

Our Parent Support Adviser is Michelle White who will provide a link between parents and schools. Michelle can offer early intervention, preventative support, guidance and advice to families whose children may be experiencing difficulties or other issues at school. Michelle will work with school in partnership with parents, carers and other agencies to improve the outcomes for individual children. Wall of Activities

Garden Club Going Strong

School has developed an area for our Garden Club. The work has been completed and the children have been busy planting at their after school club.

Performing Arts After School Club

Our after school Performing Arts Club has gone from strength to strength, staff were surprised by the amount of children who wanted to take part. Their first performance was Splash the Musical held at Ivanhoe College. The whole event was a resounding success and thrilled the large audience of parents and families.

BUSY LUNCH TIMES AT WILLESLEY

Our lunch time clubs are very popular with the children, pictured below are some of the children taking part in different activities during one lunch time, Recorder Group, Board Games Club and Football Club

Reception Class Outdoor Play Area

Our Reception class are enjoying playing outside with their new play equipment in their fantastic play cabin. Extended Services and our Locality Partnership Group for North West Leics assisted us with the funding for this equipment.

Willesley Sing at A NIGHT AT THE MOVIES

Ashby School organised a concert at Ivanhoe College with seven schools taking part, our children joined the orchestras of Ashby School, Ivanhoe and Ibstock and three other primary schools to perform Songs from the Movies. A great experience for our children.
