Our parents use local Ofsted Registered Childminders and Private Childcare Providers. For more information go to the Home Page of this website and click the Childcare Box for more information from the Leicestershire Family Information Service. School has a Walking Bus to and from school.
School has an active P.S.A. who organise events and fund raising. Library ROTA support. Parents are supported in school with curriculum workshops.
School has excellent links with Specialist Services for those children who need additional support. School has access to a Family Liaison worker through the Ashby Family of Schools agreement with Relate Leicestershire. School has access to the local Multi Agency Forum through the CAF procedure for children who may require additional support.
School is home to Brownies and Rainbows. We have excellent links with local Church with our annual Christingle service. We are linked to the village carnival association and the children are involved in tree planting in the community.

As part of the Extended Services offer of parenting support, Ashby Family of Schools now employ a Parent Support Adviser (PSA)

Our Parent Support Adviser is Michelle White who will provide a link between parents and schools. Michelle can offer early intervention, preventative support, guidance and advice to families whose children may be experiencing difficulties or other issues at school. Michelle will work with school in partnership with parents, carers and other agencies to improve the outcomes for individual children. If you feel that your family may benefit from the services of the Parent Support Adviser or you simply want to find out more information please contact your school.

Lunch Time Clubs

Our lunch time clubs are very popular, pictured below are the children enjoying their African Drum Club and Scrabble Club.

Reception class has new picnic tables

School has received a grant to purchase outdoor play equipment. Funds were available from our Locality Partnership Group and pictured below are some of our Reception Class children with their brand new picnic tables and equipment.

After school science taster at Ivanhoe

Some of our Year 6 children were able to visit Ivanhoe College Science Labs after school and take part in HANDS ON SCIENCE sessions with Mrs Coombs from Ivanhoe.
